How to check if an image was made with FLUX
- FLUX models are usually run through ComfyUI, Forge or hosted apps. When those tools save metadata, the model name (for example flux1-dev) appears in the file.
- FLUX images are not covered by SynthID, so a metadata scan is one of the few automated checks available.
Visual signs of FLUX content
Highly realistic skin texture, legible text and natural hands are FLUX strengths, which makes visual detection harder.
Visual clues are never conclusive on their own. Combine them with a metadata check and a reverse image search. See our full guide: how to tell if an image is AI-generated.
FLUX detector FAQ
Does SynthID detect FLUX images?
No. FLUX does not use SynthID, so Google's detector returns "not detected".
